Anthropic's colossal pay packages cost the company more than $100,000 a month per employee

Anthropic's personnel expenses topped $1.7 billion for its 5,300 workers from July through September, according to an amended S-1 filing the AI company released Monday morning ahead of its initial public offering later this month. That means the expenses averaged over $322,000 per worker over the three-month span.

The total indicates how a seat inside Anthropic became one of the 21st century's quickest pathways to extraordinary wealth.
